The costume and hair reminds me of Javert.
It's a good film ( never seen it before) One of the children looks like Oliver but sounds like Gavroche in Les Mis. " follow me" he shouts.

Yes I agree completely, I haven't seen it before either

:D

I would love to see PQ in a period film like this {circa 1805}

I think it is a role he could "really get his teeth into" that would be {different but the same as Javert} showing more of PQ's acting skills in a serious adventure historical drama .

:D

PQ is a gentleman with a wonderful voice, a brilliant actor & is very kind ~ especially to my son.

Actually, PQ is just brilliant in every way.

I would love to see him play Sweeney Todd, the Phantom of the Opera, Oliver Warbucks from Annie and Captain Von Trapp!
Perhaps some Shakespeare too.

Something suggested on another forum that I agree with entirely: I think Philip would make a wonderful Fredrik Egerman in A Little Night Music. Might be difficult to find a Carl-Magnus who could believably threaten him, though - they'd have to get Bryn! ;D

Some more Shakespeare would be my choice or perhaps another one man show

As I never saw the one man show - another would be great! Would love to see Philip in more Shakespeare too. Also agree Philip would make a wonderful Fredrik Egerman in A Little Night Music Marius.

As I was last to post to this I thought I would have another go .I may be repeating myself but I have been thinking about future roles - especially as I have only had the opportunity to see Philip on stage in La Cage this year and would just love to see him on stage again in the future.

I agree with Eli in her post way back in 2007 (not plagiarism here Eli just of like mind!!)

Don Quixote/Cervantes in Man of la Mancha

When was the last West End production of this musical?? Have seen it was on Broadway in 2002 but the last thing I can find re west end is back in 1968 surely it has been on since then?. Could we be due for a revival?? Well I can dream The Impossible Dream and hope it is not impossible!!

King Arthur in Camelot – they could cast any young gorgeous actor as Lancelot but Philip would still win hands down – bit like the film with Sean Connery and Richard Gere – suppose that could be a problem - why on earth would Guinevere look at Lancelot when she has an amazing Arthur!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, anything Philip would like to do Shakespeare wise!!! Macbeth would be great – but all Shakespeare is a joy when done well and PQ does do it well! OK so I have not seen – yet - but I have read the reviews!!!!!!

Philip would be fantastic in Man of La Mancha as Don Quixote/Cervantes.

However he will be a wonderful Mr Banks in Mary Poppins but looking further into the future Don Quixote gets my vote!!
