An interesting audio Interview with Brenda Blethyn was broadcast on 702 ABC Radio Sydney the other day:

http://www.abc.net.au/sydney/stories/s1951436.htm?nsw

It will take a while to download, but it's a very enjoyable 20-min clip. Ms Blethyn is so down-to-earth and she really has an infectious laughter! :D

Here's the link to a rather dramatic (hi-res!) photo of dear old Ronnie in Clubland: ;D

PS.: Never realised Brenda Blethyn was such a tiny lady!

EMMA Booth could easily identify with the insecurities of her character Jill in Australian film Clubland

Hi I am off to see clubland tonight will get back when I have seen it.

There was an item on the film on BBC 2 last nght I switched into it just as they were talking about it did not get the programme but I got the impression it will be out on general release. The comment " one of breden brthyn's best" was heard. It was under the Dwite title.

PQ is a gentleman with a wonderful voice, a brilliant actor & is very kind ~ especially to my son.

Actually, PQ is just brilliant in every way.

Saw it in Cambrdige its on again tonight at midmight!! It was great, but think the edition I saw was an early one as the date kept appearing in the right hand corner and it it is called clubland. According to a BBC programme I saw the other night it is goin out as Meet the Dwites. I hope what I saw last night is not the true film as some camera work is a bit odd, and some times it looked out of focus

PQ is great of course. Not a large part, but he is still good. He does show his class even in a small part, but still does not over shadow his colleagues. I loved Mark the younger brother who is handicapped, would love to know if he is handicapped in real life he was so good, he deserves an award for his portral of the part.

Lots os laughter at the screening and mainly a young audience. Worth going when it comes out.

Thanks Tammy for your report, you have made all of us turn "a lovely shade of green"!

Concerning Richard Wilson's role: no, he is just acting!
You'll find an interesting interview where he explains how he tackled his role at this link:

Check this link for details about specific showtimes:

All the infos now appear on the PQG too.
