Same for me!!! I should stop assuming that all news are always on the message board. Row D, Saturday at least, but I'm almost sure I booked for Thursday as well.
I had booked long ago - well, when booking opened, although actually it wasn't so long ago - because wherever Bryn Terfel performs you can be sure I'll be there, but I can't believe PQ is in it too...it's like my "dream cast" for one of my favourite musicals
Wow...Just thinking of those two singing "Pretty women" together makes me very very very happy!
And I don't have to go through the stress of looking for decent seats now

Ditto on every point, snapefan!! At the moment I'm keeping my all my fingers crossed that "The PQ Rumour" becomes reality soon... AND - a girl can dream - that some other of my "Favourites" land other key roles: - Craig Purnell for Tobias - Joshua Dallas (On the Town) for Anthony - Kelly Price (Guys & Dolls) for Johanna

I don't think I've ever seen Joshua Dallas in anything (hmm, the "On the town" posters, I guess ) ...does he only play sailors?
I hope you'll get to see some of your "wishes" realized

In On the Town he played Gabey, the Gene Kelly role in the original movie. But I first noticed him in Secret Garden back in 2001, where he played Philip (!), one of the gardeners. I personally think that among the new generation of musical artists Dallas is one of the most "all round" performers. http://www.joshuadallasonline.com

Joshua does seem to like roles with a nautical theme!
He's already played Anthony in the Bridewell's fantastic "promenade" version of Sweeney Todd from a few years back and he was fabulous in the role. In fact the whole production was just brilliant - exciting and different.
He also played Frederic in the Open Air Theatre's Pirates of Penzance which went out on national tour, but sadly he was out the day we saw it

hi, Suggest you take a risk and book, there are very few seats left. Bryn is very popular and I am sure you would enjoy even if PQ is not there.

According to the Stephen Sondheim Society, Philip is now confirmed for Sweeney Todd!
The latest mailing from the Society says that the show will star "Bryn Terfel, Maria Friedman and newly added Philip Quast as Judge Turpin".

I would love to see this! But unfortunately there is no chance. I haven't been here for a while so I've not really had a proper look yet so sorry if the answer is really obvious, but will one of these perfomances be recorded?
