STILL UNCONFIRMED:
According to the latest issue of the Stephen Sondheim Society Magazine, Philip Quast - together with Julia McKenzie and Edward Seckerson - should be part of the judging panel of the forthcoming "Stephen Sondheim Society Prize for Student Performer of the Year".
The event should take place in London on Sunday 13 May and tickets will be available to the public. Stay tuned to the Stephen Sondheim Society News Page and to the News Page of the PQG for further details.

Now confirmed! Sunday 13th May @ 4pm. The Venue, Leicester Square. Ticket price £20 (£17.50 to Society members) available exclusively from the Stephen Sondheim Society. Tel 01159 281613 or sondheimsociety@sondheim.org (Judges subject to availability)

The top students from the leading UK performing arts schools, performing works by Stephen Sondheim as well as a wide selection of new works by major new writers of musical theatre.

I'd like to go but I have other commitments on the 13th and I won't be able to go. So...please do report! ;)

It was nice to see some familiar faces at the Student Price yesterday (I'm not only referring to the *judging panel*!) ;)

So, what were your thoughts?
I found the event very interesting, it was thrilling to see some "raw talent" in action, I'm sure it was a great experience for them too.
I must confess that I was a bit sad my personal favourite didn't win the Prize... but he was "highly commended" so I guess I'm happy for him all the same!

A more detailed report (with photos!) is going to be published on the PQG later today. :)
