PQ is a gentleman with a wonderful voice, a brilliant actor & is very kind ~ especially to my son.

Actually, PQ is just brilliant in every way.

Just to confirm some dates relating to today's news, then:

Philip Quast will rejoin La Cage Aux Folles, as Georges, at the Playhouse Theatre from Monday 4 May 2009, with a new press night on Monday 11 May 2009. He will be joined by Roger Allam, who makes his debut as Albin.

The two are scheduled to appear until 26 (or possibly 29th?) August 2009, and booking for this period (in addition to a further period up to Saturday 9 January 2010 for which the cast has not yet been confirmed) will open next Monday 16 March.

Catching up with all the recent updates! PQ's return to LCAF is indeed fabulous news. :D

I saw both Denis Lawson and Steven Pacey over the past months. No personal offence to either of them, but let me just say I missed PQ fiercely in the role.

He and Roger Allam are going to create the definitive Albin/George couple. Now all my fingers are crossed that a cast recording is in the producers' plans. If not, get ready to sign a new PQG petition some time soon! ;D

BTW, booking for PQ's dates has already opened, a day earlier than announced!

Eli

Do you have any idea why he is finishing on a Wednesday?

Weird idea don't you think?

or is a misprint/mistake and it is actually 29th ie the Saturday?

John Barrowman's new six part entertainment show, Tonight's The Night, starts tonight on BBC1.

Here's the BBC Press Office description for part 3:

Tonight's The Night
Saturday 2 May 2009
6.20-7.20pm BBC ONE

John Barrowman, the ultimate all-round entertainer, hosts more celebrities and helps grant more wishes to unsuspecting members of the studio audience, as the series continues.

This week's guests include Ronan Keating, Jodie Prenger and the cast of West End musical La Cage Aux Folles.

In addition, the Workplace Wonders return and this week it's the bingo callers versus the fire fighters, who'll be challenging each other on stage at Television Centre. The Tonight's The Night dancers will also join in big opening and closing numbers and John will, once again, take part in the "Stagefright Challenge" against a mystery celebrity.

Considering that if I have understood correctly the TV show is not live, I have reasons to fear that the Cage cast featured in early May is going to be the current Norton/Pacey one.
Talk about bad timing. Especially considering that the audience watching the TV show on 3rd May won't get a chance to see THAT cast anymore.
I give up!
